Introduction:
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission came into existence on 1st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh . Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State. Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States. In 2014, Andhra Pradesh is further divided into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana both states have it’s own public services commission to recruit candidates for government services.

2) Main Examination: Candidate’s who are qualified in the preliminary examination can write the Main examination which contains five papers in conventional type, syllabus is based on degree standard The General English paper is only for qualifying in nature. Candidates can choose a question paper in English or Telugu or Urdu except for General English. Minimum qualifying marks will be based on respective reservation relations.
