Government Law College Madurai (Tamil Nadu), was established by the Government of India to meet the long-felt needs of the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. GLC is one of the six government law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. Like the rest of the law colleges in the state, it is administered by Tamil Nadu’s Department of legal studies. The college is one of the premier institutions imparting legal education in the state. The students of Government law college Madurai are provided an appropriate atmosphere of higher judiciary around best for their judiciary approach. The blueprint of the college was prepared by the then Director of legal studies, Prof. A. Palaniswamy.
