1. What are the mistakes that I should not make in my 4-year engineering college life?
Scoring Better Grades/Percentage: Marks and percentages are the major criteria for any campus placement. Every company keeps individual cutoffs to enter into the requirement drive so that only eligible candidates are allowed for placements. So never ignore scoring of marks, as it is the only criteria that differentiate you from others. Give your efforts as much as possible and try to score more marks in the semesters.
Avoiding other people’s views on engineering: always believe in yourself and try to learn from your own experience and take proper guidance from seniors, family members, and friends whom you believe. One wrong step at the end of the final year may give you disastrous results. so be careful while taking decisions.
Learning the Subject: Try to learn the subject by yourself and divide the subject into easy parts which help you at the time of examinations. Professors guidance is also important in learning the subject so make use of it more.
Know your Passion: Engineering is a vast stream so do research on the domains you have an interest in and choose the right passion that keeps you fascinated in doing the job as work satisfaction plays a major role to excel your career.
Extra-Curricular activities: as engineering is not only about studies, extracurricular activities should also be included in every student’s life as it helps in building teamwork, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, etc. so be active in extracurricular activities.
Giving Presentations: seminars and paper presentations removes stage fear and builds confidence in you while assisting the public which is an essential skill for leading the team in a company.
Preparation for Higher studies: if possible always prepare for higher studies from the start of the final year which becomes easy in cracking the exam at the end.
Internships: do at least one internship in any of the company, as it makes it easier for the interviewer to know that you have at least some industrial exposure and helps you to secure the job.
Campus Interviews: the final and major goal of every graduate is campus placements, never ignore any interview and always go well prepared and give the best for the interview. Try and try until you succeed in the placements
Certifications: Learn trending and new technologies which are useful for your career and job interviews.
Interactions: Interact with good and knowledgeable people to get ongoing events in the industries, market and learn the skills from them.

Connections: Try to make good connections with top management employees as they hire if they like your skills and always stay updated with them for job openings.
Communication skills: Recruiters are continually seeing candidates who can communicate well and prove themselves efficiently. So try to improve both verbal & non-verbal communication skills.
Never Get Disappointed: Keep trying until you get success is the only formula, never get disappointed and low your courage. Always keep busy in learning new technologies, methods etc.
Savings: Save every penny which might be useful for learning new skills.
Be Optimistic: Try to be positive in every situation and which helps to attend other interviews if you fail in one.
Stress Busters: Always meditate and do physical activities like gym, exercise, running, walking, jogging which reduce the stress on the mind and helps to think fresh.
